At BrainZ Tutoring Academy, we provide 1-on-1 math and science tutoring from Grades 4-12 to university students. We are dedicated to helping every student achieve their best. We understand that each learner has a unique way and pace of understanding, so our lessons are customized to fit individual needs.
Our approach is built on two pillars: patience and knowledge. By combining a strong foundation in subject expertise with the patience to explain concepts clearly, we create a supportive environment where students can build confidence, improve results, and develop lifelong learning skills.
Meet Dr. Avneet Kaur — Maths and Physics Tutor
Dr. Avneet Kaur is the founder and academic lead of BrainZ Tutoring Academy, specializing in Mathematics and Physics for middle school through university students.
She holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from University of Waterloo and a Master’s degree in Mathematics and Computing from Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Hyderabad. With over five years of teaching experience, she has supported students across diverse curricula — helping them strengthen fundamentals, master advanced concepts, and build lasting academic confidence.
At University of Waterloo, she has served as both a Sessional Instructor and Teaching Assistant, and has led enrichment programs including Math Circles and masterclasses through Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing. She also holds certification in Fundamentals of University Teaching, reflecting her commitment to structured, inclusive, and evidence-based instruction.
Dr. Kaur is known for turning confusion into clarity. Her teaching focuses not just on solving problems, but on developing logical thinking, exam strategy, and independent learning skills. Students regularly see improvements in grades, confidence, and motivation — while parents value her clear communication and personalized approach.
Above all, she believes every student can succeed with the right guidance. Her goal is to empower learners to approach math and physics with confidence, curiosity, and resilience — skills that extend far beyond the classroom.
Meet Dr. Neha Kanda — Chemistry & Environmental Science Specialist
Dr. Neha Kanda is a highly accomplished educator with 4 years of tutoring experience, specializing in Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Geography. She has a high 98% satisfaction rating among her students. She is currently completing her PhD in Geography and Water at University of Waterloo, where her work focuses on climate systems, environmental data analysis, and scientific modeling.With a strong academic foundation in Environmental Science from Panjab University, Neha brings both depth of knowledge and real-world scientific experience into the classroom. Her background includes advanced research in climate science, atmospheric processes, hydrology, and environmental systems — giving her students a deeper understanding of how chemistry and environmental science apply beyond textbooks.At BrainZ Tutoring Academy, Neha supports high school students in:
